Project Manager – Biopharmaceutical- Cambridge
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager / Alliance Manager to join a leading and expanding life sciences company based in Cambridge. As an organisation they are developing cutting-edge technology for a strong therapeutic product pipeline within immunooncology. They have experienced strong growth in their in-house and collaborative drug development pipeline so it’s an ideal time to be joining the team.
Reporting to the CSO the Alliance/Project Manager will be responsible for delivering both in-house and partnered projects on time and to budget. You will lead the day-to-day management and completion of in-house projects, and projects partnered with global partners. You will work as part of a growing team, working closely with the scientific project leaders to develop project plans and manage the delivery of those plans to time, cost and quality.
*Responsible for project management of several projects both internal and external
*Chair regular project meetings and maintain an up-to-date project plans, continuously checking project deliverables against budget and timelines.
*Support and organise core data and reports.
*Work with the team leaders to build budgets for external CROs and ensure the appropriate contracts are in place.
*Guide direction and agreement on key decisions and deliverables.
*Provide support for project members to ensure timely delivery of the project deliverables.
*Co-ordinate and prioritise cross departmental activities to assure momentum is kept.
*Work closely with the legal and commercial team to ensure third party contracts are in place in line with our internal processes and procedures
To be considered for this opportunity you must be educated to a minimum of BSc level in a life sciences subject. This will be coupled with a minimum of 5 years’ project management or equivalent experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry with a good understanding of the drug development process. You will need to be able demonstrate excellent time management skills, work in a fast paced environment, build strong working relationships and to collaborate with partners.
