The Producer is responsible for providing product leadership, guidance, and support to external product partners for Disney & Pixar games across mobile, console, and PC gaming platforms. This person is directly responsible for Disney role in the production process including external partner onboarding and management, collaborating and coordinating ideation, project tracking, managing all internal/external product communication and product deliverables, overseeing milestone reviews, business unit relations, production/content approvals, & management of live service support. Right out of the gate you’ll be making an impact on several of our to-be-released gaming titles. This production work entails providing clearly communicated feedback on game proposals, project schedules, and content roadmaps; coordinating feedback/approvals from internal Disney Game Designers and Art Directors, as well as Disney Franchise partners for games based on upcoming and existing TWDC franchises. The ideal candidate is a self-starting, team player, who can draw upon a background as both a game maker and gamer, able to articulate feedback and clearly communicate information to external partners and internal stakeholders. This person can identify opportunities and challenges in the production process and will help Disney manage a portfolio of games based on Disney & Pixar IP. This role will occasionally require on-site support with external development partners with international travel a possibility.
Disney Quality: Maintain highest quality creativity, technology and innovation in all aspects of gameplay, art, animation, sound and overall gameplay. Partner Support: Locate and supply all appropriate assets to development studio as necessary. Schedules & Reports: Create and maintain development schedules, perform milestone reviews, track all submissions, and submit weekly written progress reports on each assigned title. Milestone reviews: Document and deliver to partner detailed art direction, gameplay and franchise feedback and approvals for all game milestone submissions including design documents, asset submissions, and work-in-progress builds. Task includes routing to other internal resources for feedback. Cross-divisional work: job includes frequent interaction with stake holders from other divisions across TWDC. Presentations & Demos: Give presentations and product demos as necessary to peers, management, and other stakeholders. Marketing: Collaborate regularly with brand managers on all aspects of the game. Collaborate with partners on new interactive product concepts, including video game concept design and game identity. Provide brand guidance to external partner teams balancing the needs of the game and the authenticity of the TWDC Franchise’s characters and worlds, with a focus on Disney and Pixar. Excellence in managing relationships with external partners, identifying and solving day to day product issues. Ability to make confident, intelligent and difficult decisions that reflects a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies. Previous experience interfacing with partners/developers, understanding team structures and roles, production pipelines, and common challenges in producing high-quality interactive products. Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects at different stages of development. Strong sense of ownership, flexibility, and urgency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to travel, approximately 15% and hold a valid passport. Passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, and PC (must be a Gamer)). Demonstrate passion and familiarity with TWDC Franchises, including Walt Disney Feature Animation, Pixar, Disney Live Action, and the Disney Channel. 3 – 5 years of experience specifically in product development/production of Console/Mobile/PC games or other entertainment. AA/BA/BS preferred or demonstrates through portfolio an industry standard level of video game design and/or professional writing experience. 668062
