The Executive Producer is responsible for providing team leadership, partner guidance and product development vision for our global Disney and Pixar games teams across mobile, console and PC gaming platforms. This person is directly responsible for leading Disney’s role in the production process from concept to release for all Disney & Pixar gaming titles. This includes external partner onboarding and management, collaborating and coordinating product proposals and ideation, while also leading teams of producers through all phases of product development. This position will work closely with our global Business Development, Marketing and Legal teams to understand and deliver against Disney Games goals, initiatives and fiscal product targets. Right out of the gate you’ll be making an impact on our game teams, processes and business, as well as specific game projects. This production work entails providing clear leadership, vision, process, training and mentoring of global product development teams so they can effectively support our external product partners. The production teams are responsible for clearly communicated feedback on game proposals, project schedules and content roadmaps; coordinating feedback/approvals from internal Disney Game Designers and Art Directors, as well as Disney Franchise partners for games based on upcoming and existing TWDC franchises. The ideal candidate is a self-starting, mature leader who can draw upon a background as both a game maker and gamer, in order to; articulate best in class gaming benchmarks, build processes to help teams attain those benchmarks, communicate and update Disney Executive leadership, manage multiple partner relationships and contribute to the long-term planning of global product roadmap and portfolio. Works directly with GIE leaders and key business units to understand, interpret and deliver against financial goals set for Disney and Pixar Games. Effectively partners with regional GMs and lead regional producers to successfully launch and operate games globally. Builds trusted relationships with Disney and Pixar content teams (Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, etc.) by exhibiting a deep understanding of their characters, worlds, stories and brand pillars in order to be respected as a key brand steward. Ensures that external game teams have the necessary support from TWDC in order to deliver high quality products that delivered on our financial target goals, while maintaining brand integrity. Coordinates resources throughout the organization to ensure that schedules and deliverables meet defined objectives and quality standards. Collaborates with marketing and PR to ensure effective synergy, distribution and promotion across the entire portfolio of Disney and Pixar games. Leads and manages the creation and maintenance of development schedules, performance of milestone reviews, tracking all submissions and approvals. Leads presentations and product demos as necessary to peers, management and other stakeholders. 10+ years of experience specifically in product development for Console/Mobile/PC games creating top quality games that have driven meaningful business results. 2+ years game development experience on a live team preferred, demonstrating excellence in metrics-driven management and how to leverage them when operating a mobile game. Prior P&L management and solid financial acumen and business-focused decision making. Excellence in managing relationships with external partners, identifying and solving day to day product issues. Ability to make confident, intelligent and difficult decisions that reflects a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies. Previous experience interfacing with partners/developers, understanding team structures and roles, production pipelines and common challenges in producing high-quality interactive products. Demonstrated accomplishments partnering with licensed brands and brand managers (creative directors, art directors, and producers) to build and launch successful games. Detail oriented and able to manage multiple teams in different locations at multiple levels of experience. Strong sense of ownership, flexibility, urgency and maturity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to travel internationally, approximately 15% and hold a valid passport. Passion for games, a solid understanding of the games industry and game platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, and the future). Passion and familiarity with TWDC Franchises, including Walt Disney Feature Animation, Pixar Animation, Disney Live Action, Disney Parks and Resorts and the Disney Channel.
