Dodge College of Film and Media Arts

The Post-Production Systems Technician is responsible for servicing, maintaining and supporting Dodge College of Film and Media Arts broadcast, post-production and classroom systems. Provides technical support and assistance to students, faculty and staff relating to the Dodge College post-production environment, including but not limited to classrooms, computer labs, suites and mixing rooms. This position is responsible for documenting, training and leading student workshops on technical operations and workflows involving post-production editorial procedures, hardware use and software applications. Works closely with other Post-Production staff to review, inspect, repair, troubleshoot and maintain internal video systems equipment including through the use of provisioning software. Responsible for developing advanced workflow infrastructure using applications such as: Content Agent, Vidchecker, and Signiant Transfer. Works closely with IS&T to ensure all systems work properly with ProjectHQ. Oversees and trains evening student Lab Assistants in the operation and use of post-production systems to aid and support Dodge College students. This position will also be responsible for performing quality control (“QC”) on final deliverables prior to screening. Perform other duties as assigned.

*This position works between the hours 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM and will be the primary point of contact for all systems during those hours.
