Software Developer – IVD/Diagnostics
A pioneering Biotechnology company based in Cambridge has developed a cutting-edge diagnostic technology that is able to predict disease progression in critically ill patients is now seeking a highly talented Software Developer to join their thriving team. This person will be responsible for developing intelligent and automated in vitro diagnostic software that will make a huge difference to patients suffering with debilitating immune related diseases.
Responsibilities may include:
*Designing, developing and maintaining a pipeline of cloud-based software tools for immune-mediated disease management
*Applying software development skills to the entire product development lifecycle of IVD software in a new and progressive environment
The ideal candidate will possess:
*A Msc/or BSc in software development + relevant industry experience
*Demonstrated fluency in one or several of the following languages: Python, C, Perl, Java
*Experience of designing and executing software tests within a software validation framework
*Prior experience developing software in a regulated environment (experience of ISO 13485/IEC 62304 a bonus)
*Sound understanding of a structured software development life cycle
*Extensive knowledge of UNIX based operating systems
*Experience with cloud based technologies (ideally AWS)
*A knowledge or understanding of bioinformatics, computational biology or genomic analysis would be highly desirable (but not essential!)
